That's because it's a masterstroke in balancing classic gin botanicals like juniper, citrus peel with native botanicals like lemon myrtle.

At first whiff, you get a citrus zing mixed in with the pine notes of the juniper on the nose. After that, those same notes follow through on the palate with a slight warming finish.

The gin is produced locally in Erina in the NSW Central Coast by Distillery Botanica. The distillery also houses extensive gardens where distiller Philip Moore tenders to plants that ultimately go into the making of his gins, such as the lemon myrtle found in this gin.
