You'll like this if:
You like light tropical fruit like flavours juxtaposed with delicate florals. And if you like a bit of colour changing magic in your drinks.
Classed as the world's first naturally black gin, Scapegrace Black utilises some unusual botanicals native to New Zealand, such as the aronia berry (also known as chokeberry), a sour fruit that's often used to flavour jams and syrups. Other botanicals include saffron, pineapple, butterfly pea and sweet potato. There's a menthol-like crispness, with a balanced citrus freshness, hint of spice followed by a candied sweet potato and pineapple finish
The black hue comes from distilling each of the extracts at precise temperatures in a defined sequence whilst the inclusion of butterfly pea flower extract gives the gin its colour changing quality - the gin will change from black to shades of pink or purple depending on the pH level of your mixer.
