You're into herbaceous and fruity gin that has a slight salinity to it. Inspired by the Great Barrier Reef & its tropical surrounds Applewood Distillery Coral gin took 5 years to perfect and it was definitely worth the wait!
Riberry, a medium-sized coastal rainforest tree native to Australia and strawberry gum leaf give the gin its slight pink hue. There's a sharp herbaceous tang and subtle fruity sweetness from the strawberry gum, which is punctuated by a little spice from the riberry.
Karkalla (also known as pig face or sea banana) adds a salinity that cuts through the fruit and floral notes and provides a lingering savoury, almost buttery finish.
Coral gin was one of Caroline's Top 10 Australian gins of 2020.
